Accreditations
An accreditation is the confirmation by a third-party that formally shows that VdS has the competency and authority to carry out certain tests, evaluations and certifications of products and companies.
VdS is accredited by the German Akkreditierungsstelle Technik GmbH (DATech) acc. to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 or to DIN EN 45011 for the testing and certification of
- intruder alarm systems,
- access control systems,
- mechanical security technology,
- fire detection systems,
- water extinguishing systems,
- gas extinguishing systems,
- smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems (SHEVS),
- environmental tests,
- installers and specialist companies, as well as
- security companies
Additionally, VdS is also accredited by:
- the Trägergemeinschaft für Akkreditierung GmbH (TGA) for the certification of QM systems,
- the Zentralstelle der Länder für Sicherheitstechnik (ZLS) within the field of applicability of the EU regulations 97/23/EG, as well as by the
- Deutschen Akkreditierungsstelle Technik GmbH (DATech) for the testing of stationary fire protection systems.
