CE Marking

With the CE label, the manufacturer confirms conformity of the product with the relevant EU guidelines regarding the introduction of the product within the European Union. VdS supports companies in all matters of conformity testing and CE marking.

With the CE label, the manufacturer/distributor guarantees that his product complies with all EU guidelines applicable to this product. The manufacturer/distributor always provides CE marking himself and on his own responsibility. However, for some EU guidelines a precondition is the performance of a proof of conformity procedure, especially for building product series.

With the CE label, the manufacturer confirms conformity of the product with the relevant EU guidelines regarding the introduction of the product within the European Union. The CE label is a statutory label, not a seal of quality, and may not be used for purposes of advertising.

The manufacturer legally binds himself with the declaration of conformity that his product complies with all applicable requirements of the EU guidelines.
