VdS: Notified Body acc. CPD
VdS is a Notified Body acc. the Construction Products Directive CPD (Ref. No. 0786) and offers all modules of the proof of conformity procedure, including the issuing of the EU Conformity Certificate. The notification refers to the individual standards as published in the Offical Journal of the EC.
It is the aim of VdS to also offer CE proof of conformity procedures in future, in addition to the VdS approval procedures for products of fire protection technology covered by the CPD. For this purpose VdS will apply for notification as a Notified Body according to CPD for the relevant products as soon as the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik1 will allow such applications.
Since June 2004 VdS also is Notified Body for door closers and fire protection doors according to EN 1154 and 1155.
