Laboratory for electronic security technology
Type tests of electronic equipment and intruder alarm systems, access control systems and video surveillance systems are tested in our laboratory for electronic security technology.
VdS approval for electronic security technology is only awarded to mature and functionally stable electronic security technology, which has been subjected to meticulous testing in the laboratory for electronic security technology. This is based on decades of experience in the field of testing electronic security technology and our continuous exchange of information with insurance companies and police. In this way the latest modes of operation of criminals are taken into consideration.
Besides a certified QM system of the manufacturer and good results of an external product inspection, successful type testing is a necessary prerequisite for certification and approval of products. Test are done in accordance with the procedure VdS 2344 as well as applicable guidelines and standards for the respective product. The following product groups and their systems and components are tested in the laboratory for electronic security technology:
- Intruder alarm systems,
- Access control systems,
- Video monitoring systems,
- Danger warning systems.
Besides the tests bases mentioned above, we perform tests of new products and also tests in parallel with development, based on agreed test criteria in accordance with existing guidelines and standards.
