Fire protection

The Fire Protection division is an institution recognized throughout the world. VdS staff are highly qualified experts; they work in the tradition of professional loss prevention experts. VdS has dedicated itself to fire protection for almost a hundred years.

This specialist knowledge flows into the concept when working out a total plan for fire protection and safety technology. The standard worked out with the customer during this process - and adopted as a goal - provides individual protection at the highest level. In summary, we aim for the following goals: Injury to persons is prevented; damage to property and financial damages – including idle times due to interruptions in operation and any loss of image that might arise from this – are minimized.

Due to our cooperation in national and international regulatory committees, but also due to regulations that we develop ourselves, among other things in the area of fire extinguishing systems, fire alarm systems and smoke exhaust ventilation systems, we have a great influence worldwide on improvements within fire protection and safety technology. VdS therefore has a foundation of knowledge that can be used internationally in a wide-range of circumstances.
