Certification
VdS certifies products, companies and persons to the advantage of suppliers and users, based on their own guidelines (VdS Approval). The following categories contain additional information and contacts for individual certification processes
Testing in laboratories
VdS has got well established laboratories at its disposal, where type and system testing of products for fire and burglary protection can be performed. Besides modern technology and innovative test procedures, a pre-requisite for this is the knowledge and years of experience of employees.
CE Marking
With the CE label, the manufacturer confirms conformity of the product with the relevant EU guidelines regarding the introduction of the product within the European Union. VdS supports companies in all matters of conformity testing and CE labelling.
Inspection on-site
On-site inspection of fire protection installations is performed by the VdS Inspection Services, who have been accredited as inspection body according to EN 45001 and EN 45004 by the "Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Technik (DATech) e.V."
